Well HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody,
It's been a minute so I thought I should post my latest cards. I'm going through Maggie withdrawal, waiting for my new stamps to come in. Although, it's not like I don't have other Maggies I can work on.
My last couple of cards are just regular cards, not a lot of fluff, and no Maggie. Also, I went to a couple of stamps shows over the last few weeks; however, couldn't buy anything. I kinda went over budget on some other stampin' stuff. But... I got to look at all the neat stuff. Some of the neat tools I saw I believe I already have. I have this area in my stamp room that I keep all the tools and neat gadets that I didn't have quite enough time to figure out yet. I go to the stamps shows and write down the names of the tools and what the demonstrator used it for and check to see if I have that tool. If I have it, I'll go to their website to see if I can learn from there, if not it's YTU (You Tube University; where learning if life long or at least until you get tired-LOL)
Hey did you notice the change from scrapbook room to stamp room. I have finally given in to it, I'm a stamper, not so much a scrapbooker (now of course since I said that, I'll have the itch to scrapbook). Well enough of my cacklin' here are the two cards I finished.

On this card, I was just playin around with some Just-Rite Stamps and it turned out pretty good, so I thought I would make it a card. The paper is Bazzill (red and black), the red paper is embossed with tiny dots, the white paper is Paper Studios. I used the classic oval nesti lg, I used the outside rim to make the red oval mat, and then backed both with the classic scalloped oval lg. The large fleurs are stamped using aDenamiDesign stamp (no name) but it's one of their popular stamps. I also used a tiny, tiny leaf stamp which came in a set of four from Rubber Stamp Tapestry (SHO20034-Dotted Heart Border). It's one of those layered stamp sets I'll try to post a picture of the stamp set and what I did with it later. I used my Copics to colour the roses, Moment Tux Blk, SU Basic Blk to ink the edges of the oval and the ribbon is from my stash. The inside border was cut using my Cricut Imagine & Gypsy. The inside sentiment is from the SU stamp set Bring On the Cake (121958, this is a current stamp).
Be back later with more stuff...
Beautiful card! I love this card type, and may have to give it a shot!! Great color combo too! I think all of us fall somewhere in that spectrum between scrapbooker and cardmaker, so I consider myself a papercrafter. I do way more cards though...don't give up on the scrapbooking completely! You do great pages too!
