Lady Kre's Card Set Saturday Series-Christmas Cards

Hello everyone,
Welcome back to my blog.  Today, I am sharing a set of cards I did for Lady Kre’s Card Set Saturday series.  I was challenged to make 3 quick and simple cards.  I struggled a little bit with making simple cards because, I don’t normally make clean and simple cards.  It was a good exercise to remind me that sometimes you just need to keep it simple!  It also gave me an opportunity to make some much needed Christmas Cards ( I made 2 of each card).  Every year I say I’m going to make AND send out some Christmas Cards but I never seem to get there, so thanks Lady Kre!   I used a couple of MoJo Monday Sketches and one sketch I created on my own.  Other items I used to make the cards were:

Recollections 6 x 6 paper pad A Winter’s Night
Recollections White Cardstock
DCWV Indigo blue 12 x 12 Cardstock
Stampin’ UP! Sahara Sand Cardstock (retired)
Tim Holtz shapers and movers Reindeer and 25 set die
Tim Holtz (2019) Christmas Circle Words
Sizzix Christmas Phrases
Spellbinder’s A2 Matting Basics A (the long slim rectangle at the top)
Stampin’ UP! (retired) stamp set O Come to Bethlehem
Pearlescent Copper Cardstock
Pearlescent Lt. Blue paper
Wink of Stella Pen
Foam Tape

Until next time…I’ll leave you with a few photos of my finished cards…

Black and White Masculine Gift Card

Good Evening Everyone,
I have been quite busy in the craft room and tonight I want to share a gift card holder that I am did for a craft group swap I have tomorrow. I did a couple versions of this gift card holder not too long ago. I used the tutorial by Ginger from My Sisters Scrapper, you can find it here. This time I did a masculine version. It was really pretty easy to put together-only 2 colors of cardstock (CS) and 1 color ink! I just love how they turned out. To make this gift card holder I used Michael’s Recollections brand Black and White CS (65#), Stampin’ UP! (SU) 5/8” black satin ribbon (retired), and SU Stamp set called “One Wild Ride” (retired). I made the tag using a Graphic 45 tag and my Brother Scan N Cut (BSNC). The Graphic 45 large tags only come in ivory, black, and kraft and I needed white! Soooo, I scanned the tag image into my BSNC and now I can cut the tag shape out in any color I want. I can even add the large eyelet (1/2”) if I want (I did not for this project). I also used my BSNC to make the borders around each of the die cuts.  The Harley-Davidson sign is a prop I made on my Cricut Maker. Lawdy, I love, love, love my machines!!!  I had to make 10 gift card holders for the swap (no gift cards added). Here are a few pictures of the finished masculine gift card holders. Until next time, happy craftin’.

The way the light is shining on the cardstock, it looks as if I used 2 different blacks.  In person the color is correct.

Painted Harvest in Pink

Hello Crafty Friends,
It has been sometime since I have been able to craft and blog but I'm back now.  Today, I am sharing a card using one of my favorite stamp sets from STAMPIN' UP! (SU) called Painted Harvest.  I Painted Harvest (#144783)is a very popular and versatile polymer stamp set. It is still available in the current SU catalog for $21.00 USD.   Just type in Painted Harvest Stampin Up in your search bar or on the You Tube search bar and you will get sooooo much inspiration and instruction.  For my card and since it's been awhile since I've stamped I did a very clean and simple card.  To make my card I used Altenew inks Rubellite, Purple Wine, Expresso, Frayed Leaf, and Forest Glades as well as some SU Soft Suede for the back ground stamp.  The background stamp I used is also from SU called Hardwood.  Unfortunately, the Hardwood background stamp is no longer available through the current SU catalog but you could probably find it on Amazon or Ebay.  I used some white and pink cardstock from Michaels Recollections brand.  The sentiment is also from the Painted Harvest stamp set and I left the inside of the card black for now.  I tied the inside of the card to the outside by stamping one of the flowers in the bottom right corner and I will make a coordinating white envelope with the same flower on the outside.  This little 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card can be used for several occasions just by changing the sentiment... thank you, think of you, birthday, sympathy, and just because.  Check out some photos of the finished card.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:
