Graphic 45 Secret Garden Mini

Howdy y'all.
Today, I am sharing a mini album that I made for my good friend Barb, she is also my Stampin' UP! demonstrator.  It's really interesting how things work out.  I went to a SU party at Barb's house in 2008, at the time she was not a demonstrator.  Barb and Jennifer (Barb's upline and my former upline) convinced me to join and be a demonstrator.  In 2009 I became demonstrator but decided to quit in 2010 or beginning of 2011. I was Barb's demonstrator.   I recruited Barb and she became a demonstrator.  Now Barb is my SU demonstrator.  Life is just funny that way...   But nevertheless she is an awesome demonstrator, very talented.  She is one of the nicest, kindest, and most caring individuals I've met in years.  I've been telling her for a while I was going to make her something.  She loves gardening whether it be flowers or working in her vegetable garden.  Barb has an amazing green thumb.  For me it was a no-brainer that the G45 Secret Garden paper line would be perfect for her mini.   I was also inspired by Cathy Chapdelaine from her SoMuchScrap You Tube channel.  Cathy has some very pretty mini albums, many of which you can purchase the tutorial for in her Etsy shop or you can bid on the finished mini albums on Ebay.   Because of her beautiful work I was inspired to sew on my mini album I made for Barb. I kept it pretty simple since this was my first attempt.  The mini album turned out wonderful!  I was very please with the finished product.  Now, I think I will sew on all my minis!   I started a birthday card for my nephew and yep! I stitched on it too.    Well, I hope you enjoy the photos and give sewing a try.   Tip: a smaller sharper needle works wonders  75/11 best.

Sketch Your Way Challenge at Mema's Crafts

Hello everyone,
Just want to share a couple of cards I made for the March challenge over at Mema's Crafts .   The theme is "Sketch Your Way".  When you get to the site,  look up on the top tool bar you will find the March challenge button.  The sponsors this month are Rick St. Denis, Stitchy Bear,  and7 Kids College Fund.  For my first card I used Rick St. Denis' Out House 2 and on the second card I used Stitchy Bears' Who's the Boss.  They are both digi images.  The paper for the Out House card was Bo Bunny, Paper Studios, and Neenah 80# Classic White.  I also used Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles and D-Lite die Cattails.  The little clothes pin is from Wal-Mart (in the crafting area).  The greeting is something I made up and typed out on my computer.  The second card's digi image is call "Who's the Boss".  My concept did not work out too well so, I only took a picture of the image.  The red and white flocked paper; I believe is some very old MME (I could be wrong).  Any way; I only had a few pieces left so I thought I would use it.  I used Spellbinder's dies Fleur-de-Lis Rectangles, Grand Rectangle (smallest one), Nested Crowns, Nested Lacey Pennants, and Banner Basics One.  Both pictures were coloured with Copic Markers.  On the Who's the Boss card I used  Gelly Roll Metallic (Gold), Gelly Roll Clear Star, Atyou Spica #21 Lip Stick, and Crystal Effects.  To give the fur on the robes dimension, I used Snow-Tex.  I also added some flooring with my Copic Multi-liner 0.03.

Thanks for stopping by, Hugz from Me
