Hey you guys! I have some great news. A few months ago there was a DT call on Eclectic Ellapu; I tried out for the team and I made it! YEY-YAH! I am so excited to be a part of such a talented group of paper crafters. I am ready to stretch my crafting imagination as far it will go. I am also looking forward to seeing all of your creative works of art in the monthly challenges to come. So, let's get started... For the June challenge (my 1st DT project-big smile) we have 2 themes you can choose from. The pink team did inspiration projects themed mid-summer. The project can be anything about the summer, not just the play "A Midsummer Night's ..." For my DT inspiration, I chose to make a card using a cute little image I found on Google (not sure who the artist is). My card layout inspiration came from a card done by Gabrielle Pollaco. This card has lots of layers and distressing. For this project I was very grateful to have my Zutter electric distresser. My card base is A2 size; however, I had to make a little modification because of all the layers and distressing. I added a 1/8" gusset to make sure the card would stand and close properly for mailing. See below for a list of the supplies used to make this card.

The title was added with my computer software.
Hi fellow newbie, I love your card it gives the feel of times gone by! I love the distressing and the trims.

Thanks Sue...I thought the same thing; I remember going to the beach picking up sea shells. That was soooo long ago.
