The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 26 Bonus Tag

BONUS TAG, Tag 26
Well, I made it back for the last tag.  This is I believe the ending of Tracey McNeely’s-The 25 Days of Christmas Tags for 2019 .  A huge thank you again to Tracey McNeely for putting this event together, securing the sponsors, and maintaining the posting site and the social media access.  This is a tremendous undertaking and we cannot give you enough kudos and thanks.  Know that without a shadow of a doubt you are very much appreciated.   Thank you to the sponsors for the donated gifts and to the amazingly talented design teamers for the incredible inspiration day after day.

The bonus day sponsor is HELLO BLUEBIRD!  And my inspiration came from Susie Lessard.
You have got to see the cute tags and some with matching cards, just click on her name.  Just so darn cute!   I took my inspiration from her pastel pink and white tag.  It too has a matching card.

For my last tag, I did a smaller scale version of a super-sized tag I did a couple of year ago.  Click here to see the super-sized version.   Here’s what I used to make Tag 26: Avery Elle’s Double Stitched Rectangles, Tim Holtz Scribbles & Splats, Holiday Greens, Reindeer & 25 Set, DCWV Glitzy Glitter 6x6 cardstock stack.  The patterned papers are scraps from the original tag, so I can't tell you the manufacture.  I used Silver embossing powder, Stampin’ UP! Come to Bethlehem (retired) stamp set- I only used the sentiment, STAZ-ON Opaque-Cotton White Pigment Ink, Acetate sheet, and foam tape.

The theme of the tag is a Winter Wonderland.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 25

The day has arrived!!!

Tracey McNeely’s-The 25 Days of Christmas Tags is done!  Whoo-whoo! We made it!  I did it, I’ve crossed the finished line, arms are raised, doing the Rocky jump, I’m in tears, laughing, hugging the family and all those who supported me through this journey----What?! …pump-the-breaks sistah, she ain’t done?!?  There is one more BONUS day!  Today’s sponsor is Honey Bee Stamps and my inspiration came from…Tracey! Click on her name and scroll down to the last tag.  My favorite colour is RED and her tag is so pretty, I just love it.  So, I did a tag similar to hers.

I created my tag with my Cricut Maker.  I found the scalloped based, created a square mat layer, and used my new Deboss Tool to create the lines on the square mat.  I used some dark red smooth cardstock from JoAnn’s, a Versa Mark pad, some white fine detail embossing powder, some foam tape to pop-up the square mat.  The message is from a Firefly (Momenta Co.) Cut and Stamp set (Tuesday Morning find, TX USA, $4.99).  I used some dark red and ivory twine to finish it off.

Well, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I think I’ll see you for tomorrow’s BONUS tag day.

I had to lay the tag down to get a good shot of the debossing.  I'm lovin' it!

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 24

1 DAY LEFT!

Yes, folks it is Day 24 of Tracey McNeely’s the25 Days of Christmas Tags.  And if you are like me, you are trying to squeeze in a tag between cooking, putting up decorations, and mapping out the plan for the after dinner Black Friday run…lol.   It is late here in Texas, but I am determined to see this hop through til’ the end!  So, let’s get going. Today’s sponsor is Heffy Doodle. This is the first time I have heard them.  Heffy Doodle is based in the UK.  I went to their site, very put-together.  They have select teams like the Instagram Team, the Video Team, the Blog Team and so on.  They also have cute stamps, stand alone dies, card kits, etc. and they will gladly ship to the U.S.

There was so much inspiration from the Heffy Doodle design team, I could hardly make up my mind.  Since it so late and I am just exhausted, I chose to go with something with quick and simple prettiness.  I took my inspiration from Lindsey, click here to see her tag. Lindsey has this abstract bubble snow falling-vertical snow drift going on(my interpretation).   Well, that was something I could do...the abstract imagine this type of tag.   I decided on the cold North Pole Winter Wind Blowing and Ice (lol).

To make my tag, I pulled out my Tim Holtz mini stencils (Set #10, stencil # THMS032).  I used this one because it looks like the winter wind blowing.  I used Distress inks Weathered Wood and Tumbled Glass to make the background.  Once the background was done, I used some double-sided adhesive (Elizabeth Crafts) as well as Elizabeth Crafts Silk Microfine Glitter-642 Cool Diamond and covered the tag.  This is supposed to make it look like ice.  I did the little tag first, then I realized that I did not have enough tag to do what I wanted, so I made the bigger tag and made the smaller tag the companion.  You can see more of the ice and wind on the smaller tag.  Both tag bases are made with Avery Elle Double Stitched Rectangles.  The snowflake cardstock is from my stash (could not find the name).  I used Tim Holtz's Holiday Words: Thin thinlit dies to cut out the message "Let It Snow". The letters on the small tag are from the negative space letters on the large tag.  The letters on the smaller tag are suppose to resemble falling snow (oh yeah, I was going there...).  I punched a whole in the top and added some Silver elastic cord.  Well, folks I gotta get back to preparing for Thanksgiving.  We’ll chat later.    HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE, I am thankful!

Looks like the ice is starting to melt in the sun (lol)

This one looks really icy.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 22

3 days left til' the end of the 2019 25 Days of Christmas Tags
and to Thanksgiving in the U.S.A!

Tracey McNeely, the 25 Days of Christmas Tags is drawing to an end. Click on the hyperlink to see all the details and sponsors. Today is day 22.   The sponsor for today is Birch Press Designs.  The inspiration for my tag came from Desiree Kuemmerle of the Birch Press Design Team.  Desiree did a floating cut out.  Click here to see her tag.

While I was making this tag, I was singing the Silver and Gold song that Burl Ives sang in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer…lol.  Some of you will remember this song.  It should be coming on any day now.  I designed my floating image tag on my Cricut Maker from scratch!   I cut the tag out 3 times to give the tag some durability.  I also created the background rectangle to  back the tag.  I used some DCWV Glitter Cardstock for the background.  I used Sizzix Christmas Phrases II thinlet dies for my sentiment and some Stampin’ UP! (retired) Gold with White trim 1/8” ribbon.  This was another super quick and easy tag!!!  See you tomorrow.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 21

Okay, I’m doing a count down since we are sliding-on-into-home on the 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Click here for information on The 25 Days of Christmas Tags, hosted by Tracey McNeely.   The sponsor for today is LAWN FAWN-yeah!   My inspiration came from Lindseywho is on the Lawn Fawn design team.  I was inspired to do a little animal tag.  Click on Lindsey's name to see her tag.

The items I used to create my tag are as follows: Recollections (Michael’s brand) white cardstock, Bo Bunny 6x6 paper pad Yule Tide Carol Collection (2018), Crate Paper’s SNOW and COCOA stamp set, Hero Arts Poly Clear Holiday Messages and Frames, Avery Elle Double Stitched Rectangles, Tonic Studios Essentials Mixed Edge Diamond Layering Basic Die Set, Copic Markers (W1, W00, Colourless Blender), and some 1/8” Satin Ivory Ribbon.  I stamped the image using Gina K’s Amalgam ink.  I cut the image out using my Brother Scan-N-Cut.  I popped the sentiment up with some foam tape.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 20

Hello my friends,
Five days left in Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags!  Yes, we are on day 20.  Click on the link to see all the excitement and details of the hop.   Today’s sponsor is Jillian Vance Designs.  I hadn’t heard of Jillian Vance Designs before, so I went over to have a look around.  You can click on her name to check her out.    My tag was inspired by Lisa Bzibziak (JV DT member)…I have already given her the nickname of Zibbi…lol.  I really liked her Craft tag. Click here to see Lisa's tag.

Here are the supplies I used to create my tag: Paper Studios (Hobby Lobby brand) craft cardstock, Avery Elle Stitched Postage Die, Magnolia Doohickeys Antique Tag (ooh wee I went waaay back for this one), Stampendous Frantage Embossing Powder, Firefly Stamp & Cut set.  I bought this at Tuesday Morning just this evening (TX, USA $4.99).  This is a stamp and die set with a deer, a wreath, snowflakes and sentiments.  I believe there is a die for the deer, the wreath and one other thing.  I only used the snowflakes from the set.   Additionally, I used Tim Holtz (Sizzix), Holiday Greens thinlets dies, Versa Mark, and White Embossing Powder.   Oh yeah, the embossing powder is a mixture with some corse glitter and white embossing powder (might have some Mica in there too).  You can see how it melts in the close up.  Some areas are more raised than others, giving it that antiquish-vintage look.  I made the splatters using my Tim Holtz Splatter Brush, white acrylic paint, and water.   I tied it all together with some Moss Green twine.  Another love, love tag!   Well, thank you all for stopping by, see yins (you) tomorrow.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 19

TGIF Everybody!

It is also day 19 of Tracey McNeely’s The 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Today’s sponsor is…(drum rollin’) Paper Smooches!  We are pretty far along on the tag train; however, if you have the drive and ambition, you can find all the details of the hop here.   My tag 19 was inspired by Savannah from the Paper Smooches DT; check out her tag here

I used the following items to create my tag: My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pad-Christmas, Neenah #80 Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, Avery Elle-Stitched Postage Dies, Crate Paper stamp set- SNOW and COCOA (item #355528).  I purchased this stamp set just a few days ago at Tuesday Morning (TX, USA, $2.99…what a bargain for Joyce).  I used Copic Markers to colour my little red bird (R46, R29, R27, R24).  Yes, I got all those colours in that little bird…lol.  The sentiment is from my favorite Christmas stamp set-JustRite Clear Christmas Mini Tags. I grounded the image by drawing some snow under his little feet and I finished off the tag with some 1/8” Black Satin Ribbon. I just love this little tag.  Thanks for the inspiration Savannah!

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 18

Hey peeps,

The posts from here on out will probably be very, very short.  It seems I am coming down with an upper respiratory situation…of course right before Thanksgiving.   Nothing like a Thanksgiving meal you can’t taste or smell (mercy).  But I must count my many blessings and praise HIS Holy name anyway, Amen!  Right now, I am grateful for being able to keep up with the 25 Days of Christmas Tags hop hosted by Tracey McNeely and today’s sponsor Neat and Tangled.  Tracey, you know we love and appreciate all your hard work!!!  I am also grateful for some quick inspiration for Carol, click on her name to see her tags.  Thank you Ms Carol, because I am draggin’ right about now and your red tag was just what I needed (that’s all I had energy for…lol).

So..., my tag tonight, was made using Avery Elle’s Postage Die, Bo Bunny’s 6x6 paper pad-Blitzen Collection (very old paper pad), Just Right Clear Christmas Mini Tags stamp set, some Versa Mark, white embossing powder, and some brown 1/8th Satin Ribbon.  This was a quick and super simple tag but still just as pretty as the ones that took me a couple of hours to create.    Nighty-nighty folks…

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 17

Welcome back my friends.  I hope everyone had a pleasant day or perhaps your day is just starting, and it too will be a pleasant one.   Today is day 17 of Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  This train is really moving along, can you believe we are on day 17?! (and I’m still hanging in there).  I know…right!  Well, today the sponsor is Pretty Pink Posh, another goody.  My tag(s) are inspired by two of Pretty Pink Posh’s designers- Jeanne Jachna and Caly Person.  Click on their names to see their precious tags.  I was so inspired; I did three tags.  Well, one tag design, three different colours.

Here is what I used to make my tags: Recollections (Michaels brand) #65 white cardstock, Avery Elle’s Postage Stamp Dies, Tim Holtz (Sizzix) Christmas Circle Words, Disney Frozen A6 Stamp (Tuesday Morning purchase), Altenew Crisp Dye Inks-Morning Frost and Limestone, and I also did one tag using Tim Holtz Distress Ink-Antique Linen and I added some 1/8” Satin White ribbon to complete the tags.   Now how easy was that?   Thank you so much for coming by to see me today and I hope to see you again tomorrow.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 16

Good evening my crafty friends.  We are on day 16 of Tracy McNeely’s The 25  Days of Christmas Tags.  Today’s sponsor is one of my favorites-WAFFLE FLOWER! Some of my inspiration came from design team member Carol, who did a series of tags.  Click here to see her adorable tag sets.  I really like the Polar Bears with the patterned background paper.  Try as I did, I could not find anything in my craftlab that would even come close to Carols cutesy Polar Bears with the patterned paper.  I decided to create my own “sort-of” background patterned paper…  I made a couple circle wreaths on piece of paper but didn’t like it as a whole-it was a fail (sad face).  I put a die down on the newly made patterned cardstock and like the little part of the wreath that fit into the die borders (super happy face) …and from there a tag was born.  So, thanks Carol for getting my creative juices flowing!

This is a tiny little tag.  The dimensions are 1 5/16th x 2 9/16th, really tiny, but cute! These are the supplies I used to create my tag: Recollections white cardstock, Stampin’ UP! Tiny Tags (flourish), Just Rite Clear Christmas Mini Tags (sentiment), Avery-Elle’s Double Pierced Rectangles dies, DeNami Designs Petit Fours, My self created circled design template,  Altenew’s Crisp Dye Inks-Crimson, Bamboo, Parrot, and Olive, I punched a hole with my Crop-A-Dile, and used some red twine to finish the job!

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 15

Alrighty,  welcome, welcome one and all,

Today is day 15 of Tracey McNeely’s The 25Days of Christmas Tags.

Today’s sponsor is Concord and 9th.  My tag was inspired by a special guest designer- Laurie Willison.  Several elements in her tag caught my eye.  One of which were the colours- Red, Black, Green, and White and using the silhouette trees.  You can find her beautiful tag here.

Here’s what I used to create my tag: White CS, My Minds Eye 6x6 Christmas paper pad, Tim Holtz (Stampers Anonymous) stamp-Reindeer Flight CMS 052, Gina K’s Amalgam ink, Jute, and twine.

Have a good night everyone, chat tomorrow...

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 14

Howdy folks.
Let get it started with Tag or Day 14 of Tracy McNeely’s The 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Click here to find out all the details.  Today’s sponsor is Paper Sweeties and my tag was inspired by Lindsey from the Paper Sweeties DT.  Click here to see her tags.

I really like the gold and silver embossing on the black tags she did.  I created my tag base using my Cricut Maker.  I used Our Daily Bread Designs’ Flourished Alphabet (Item #H675).  I believe Our Daily Bread Designs is now Divinity Designs.  I stamped the alphabet using Color Box white pigment ink, then heat embossed one in gold and one in silver.  I made the ribbon opening using a retired Stampin’ UP! Punch.  Of course, you can use any punch that makes a hole big enough to insert your ribbon of choice.  I just used that one because I saw it a couple of days ago when I was looking for something else…lol.    I added some black Chiffon ribbon and there you have it! Silver and Gold just like Burl Ives sang about in the Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Claymation…which be coming up soon.   See you tomorrow!

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 12

Hello my friends, thank you so much coming back to see me.  We are on day 12 of The 25 Days of Christmas Tags hosted by Tracy McNeely. We are half-way through and I am still hanging in there posting a new tag each day!  There is still time to jump on board and just in case you are interested in doing so; you can click here for the details.  Today’s sponsor is STAMPlorations!

My tag was inspired by Carol from the STAMPlorations design team.  Carol did two cute tags, just click on her name to check them out.  Tag 1-Stitched Snow Hills Reindeer and Tag 2 she called a Majestic Deer.  Both are really, really nice.  I especially liked the Majestic Deer.

My tag was made using the following supplies: Base tag is Craft cardstock cut with an Avery-Elle’s Double Stitched Rectangle Die, I used Basic Grey’s Jovial 6x6 pattern cardstock, and Hampton Arts #SC0712-Reindeer stamp and die set, The sentiment and the background are from the same stamp set.  The back ground is stamp with Versa Mark.  All edges (base tag, deer, and sentiment) are inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink, I used Gina K’s Amalgam ink to stamp the sentiment.  I completed the tag by punching a whole with my Crop-A-Dile, adding a 1/8” black eyelet, and adding some natural Jute.  Note: to make the Reindeer stand out, I cut  him out 2 times in Craft cardstock and once in the patterned cardstock and layered them together.   The sentiment is popped up on foam tape.  I love the rustic feel.  So pleased with this one!   I believe that is it for tonight.  Thanks again for stopping by.

Here is a side view showing the dimension on the Reindeer

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 9

Howdy folks.  Tonight’s post is going to be super quick.  It is day 9 of The 25 Days of Christmas Tags hosted by Tracey McNeely.  Today's sponsor...Pink & Main!  For more information on how to participate in the fun, click here!   My tag 9 was inspired by Kathy Schweinfurth’s Winter Village. Her little village almost looks like it’s interactive.  Once again, she is knockin’ it out of the park, so be sure to click on her name above to check out her tag.

I wanted my tag to look kind of interactive too.  I did a Mason Jar with

goodies.  Makes you think you can put your lil’ fingers in the jar and grab a

cookie or piece of peppermint…lol. The supplies I used from my tag are as

follows: Momenta Stamp and die set -Mason Jar.  I used small scraps of ivory,

light brown, chocolate, and white card stock.  I used some acetate, some ivory

string, JustRite Clear Christmas Mini Tags stamp set, Altenew Crimson Crisp

Dye ink, a white Jelly Roll Pen, and Brown and Red Sharpie markers.  I cut the

acetate twice and sandwiched the tiny die cuts between the two and sealed it

with some Glossy Accents.   Well my peeps, we’re off for the night!

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019- Day 8

Alrighty Party People, it is Day 8 of The 25 Days of Christmas Tags and we are moving right along.  Stop by Tracey McNeely’s Blog to see all the details; you can just click right here!  Today’s sponsor is Picket Fence Studios.  My inspiration for today’s tag came from both Erica Anderson and Lisa Henke.  Both of these ladies did tags with a rounded tops.   Click on their names to see their tags and show them some blog luv.

I created a tag base using my Cricut Maker.  I cut the tag out on some #80 pound Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.  I use #80 when I’m not going to use a lot of color. If I’m doing heavy colouring or laying down multiple shades of a colour then I used #110.  The image I got from Michael's.  It's a wood mounted stamp by Stampendous called Country Snowman, the number is M318. My alcohol marker of choice is COPIC! I don’t even own another type or brand of alcohol markers. This image had some pretty tight spaces so I used a couple of Sharpie Ultra Fine Tip Marks to fill those areas in ( red for the berry on the hat and brown for the tips of the tree branch). I got the Ultra Find tip markers in a 24 pack from Office Depot.

In making this tag, I was really feeling the moment…I used “glitter”.  Oooh wee-wee I do not like glitter!!! But this tag called for just a little bit to give him some oomph (the struggle was real)…   The sentiment was made using a Sizzix Thinlits die set called Christmas Phrases and some (very) thick coarse glitter cardstock.  It was tough to cut, especially because the dies were thinlits but we sure gotter done! I used my Silver Jelly Roll pen and some Wink of Stella for the ban around his hat.  My little snowdude was just adorable until he got a smudge on his cheek (from his coal nose, eyes, or buttons). But it’s okay, the snow where I am is never pristine white anyway.  It’s always mixed with a little Texas dirt…lol.  So, that is it for tonight’s tag adventure.  We’ll holla at ya tomorrow.   Great news! Finally, e-mail has been corrected to my g-mail account.  All is good now.

Here is a close-up of the glitter I used to bring in some frost.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 Day- 7

Greetings to All!  And welcome to day 7 of The 25days of Christmas Tags hosted by Tracey McNeely.   Today, my tag was inspired by Anglea Conrad who is designing for Sunny Studio. You can check out her tags here.  While all of them are so very cute, it was Tag set #4 that inspired me the most.  Most of the colours in that tag set are non-traditional…pink, light green, light blue.  I don’t think I’ve done too many Christmas projects in non-traditional colours so I thought I would take on the challenge.  OMGosh! And a challenge it was!  It was a challenge because I had to create many of the elements/items.

First, I did not have the base she started with, but I liked the look, so I had to create one, almost from scratch.  And so, it began… To make my base tag I used Spellbinders (SB) scalloped and classic squares.  I used my Stampin’ UP! (SU) retired “Mat Pack”  to do all the piercing. Yep! I pierced each hole.   I took some Recollections (Michael’s brand) blue/green polka-dot paper and attached it to some white cardstock to make it sturdy. I used my Cricut Maker to create my hat, mitten, and the little wave on the cap. I used a SU ¾” circle punch for the sentiment. The sentiment is from…you guessed it…JustRite Clear Christmas Mini Tags stamp set. I used some Altenew Sea Glass crisp ink to stamp the “Let It Snow” and popped it up with a pop dot.  To finish tag #7, I added Wink of Stella to the sentiment and the snowflakes on the mittens, placed a pearl in the center of the snowflake, punched a hole at the top, and added some 1/8” satin pink ribbon.  This tag took my most of the day, but that was because of trial and error before I got things the way I wanted.  I really like how it turned out.  Would I do it again…YES! It was worth it.  I will say good evening and I hope you can find the time to join in The 25 days of Christmas Tags.  Chat tomorrow.    Correct email: mepc99@att.net
